I've been meaning to do this for months, and now I've got my bum into gear and scanned my only 3 photos of Tunku, I wanted you to see him, and me to remember him.

My Poem for Tunku (written by me, aged 12)

I had a little kitten,
He was born in a shed,
He was fluffy and grey
With tabby marks on his head.

He was long and thin,
With a soft fluffy coat,
A big busy tail,
And a collar round his throat.

He stayed in the house,
And we fed him each day,
We had lots of fun,
Just watching him play.

Alas one dark night
He didn't come home,
Oh Tunku, oh Tunku,
Why did you roam?

His soft little body,
Now lies under the tree,
In a specially made garden,
By Jeanne and me.

He's remembered by us all,
For his sweet little ways,
And we'll never forget him,
For the rest of our days.

And I've never forgotten him, he died 12 years ago when I was 12. I still think of him, I still miss him, he'd be a big gorgeous fluffy boy by now. Rest in Peace my baby Tunku, you were taken away from me too soon. One day we'll meet again. I love you. xxx

Thank you, even now when I read that poem, my eye still fill with tears. It even made my mum cry when I was clearing out my old room last year and we found this.

Aww,Ali, he was lovely, and meant so much to you and still does. I am proud of you of being able to pay tribute to him, like many others have done on this wonderful forum. One of these days, I will pay tribute to my first cat Pebbles who meant the world to me, even though she was a right mare! Oh lovely to read and see your pics Ali. xx
