Ears

I've just noticed some brown blotches on Buddy's "baldy bits" of skin near his ears(not inside of the ear on the outside at the front). I don't remember seeing this before. I checked Mary but hers are pinky colour. Is this a skin infection of some sort? I will try and get a photo later when he comes in as it is hard to describe.

Here's a piccie I took, it's not very clear, but you can see the patchy bits. Is this normal or is it an irritation.

Well... it does actually look similar to BGs baldy bits... which have all sorts of colours (and also inside her ears... they always look dirty thanks to her different skin pigmations there)... so hopefully it's something he's always had, and not anything new. I'd keep an eye on it, to make sure the pigments don't change formations, and if that doesn't happen and he's not itchy, then I think he's in the all clear!

I'd be inclined to agree there, it looks like the pigmentaion you find on some cats, which is more obvious on the baldy bits like the ears, Mads has blotchy patches on hers too. As PokBg says tho, keep an eye and if all is well, hoorah! By the way, good piccy of his ear!

Looks like pigmentation to me too. princey has some of this on on his ears.
