Oh dear poor Mist, in the last couple of hours she has been sick quite about 3 times (largish amounts)and seems to have had a few loose stools in the tray. She seems ok in herself at the moment though, thankfully. She had a bug only about 3 or 4 weeks ago bless her so lets hope this isn't another one. There did seem to be some fur in the first vomit but i don't think a furball would cause that much upset, to her bowels as well, would it?

We'll have to see how she goes overnight and how she ...

Some pictures of my little man enjoying his garden! He so much more sensible in the garden now he's allowed out there more and will come running up to me as soon as i go out, which means i don't have to search the garden frantically thinking i've lost him! Although fingers crossed he still hasn't realised that there is no 'ceiling' on the garden and so hasn't attempted to leave it!

Carpet scratching........

......namely the staircarpet in my case.

I was woken at 6am by the sound of carpet being scratched, and I would have made less noise taking the carpet up I knew it wasn't Fudge as she was asleep in my bedroom windowsill, but as the flap was open, it could have been any cat, especially Max from next door, he's got a thing for ripping staircarpets.

I got up, went down to the kitchen, but there were no wet paw prints, so that could only mean one thing, it was Bola. He got a good telling ...

Missing visitors

Hi All,

After being visited by numerous cats on a regular basis for ages now, it dawned on me today that I'm seeing less and less of them.

I haven't seen Bolas mum since at least Tuesday, maybe Monday, and that's very unusual.

Ginger tom only calls perhaps once or twice a day now, down from four or more visits.

Most worryingly, I haven't seen the *stray* black tom for, it must be over two months now, not only in my garden/house, but out on the street. I miss seeing this fella, ...

She's limping. Her right rear leg is bothering her. She's weight bearing, but guarding. She's very tentitive with using it tho, and is not running and jumping like a loon (although she's just jumped up onto the sofa, yeay). She is a bit subdued, but is difficult to check properly as she is that submissive that when I pick her up and move her leg to see if she yelps, she is just quiet and her eyes go very wide, which I think is pain. Hi All,

It was only a matter of time before I was given a name, I was last Saturday, and they were on my suspect list anyway. Beckett wasn't targetted as such, but this person has seemingly admitted putting antifreeze down for any cats that trespass on their garden, and the timing was right for when Beckett was poisoned.

As I'd had a few beers, 99% of me wanted to go straight round and kick their teeth in, I was absolutely livid. Thankfully, I didn't, common sense got the better of ...

Hi All,

The shenanigins with the cat flap today has got me thinking about cats, well Bolas, weight.

He much the same age and size as Dexter, but I managed to pick Dexter up and was staggered at just what a featherweight he is compared to Bola, who must be at least 50% heavier

Bola isn't a big cat by any means, he's as sleek as he looks in the pics I've posted, but like Fudge, he's deceptively muscular/solid. I reckon if the vets ever weighed him while they were blindfolded, ...

Cheap wicker basket at Ikea!

Went to Ikae this evening... and found that they sell pet wicker baskets for �3.49!!! We bought one, and was also armed with a new fleece blanket (the one on Poks bed is beyond washing... it went straight in the bin as we came home)... and then found reduced fleece blankets at the reduced section... so got the basket and two fleece blankets for �5.49!

Pok loved the basket as soon as we got home, and thought it was an amazing new scratching post for him... he refused to get out of it, and ...

I know it's why i love them but....

The cat I saw a while back that I thought could have been a Turkish Van..............definitely isn't.

I've just seen it again, a bit closer this time, and there's far too much colour to be TV. I hope I'm wrong, but it's coat looked terribly matted, tho' it didn't stay long as ginger tom attacked it Ginger was more interested in chasing this cat than calling for breakfast, so he may not get any by way of punishment.

Hi All,

I got up today, went into the kitchen and immediately thought if felt a bit *fresh/draughty* there, but couldn't work out why at first. On closer inspection is was the cat flap, the flap was broken again, from the inside as the pieces were lying outside

I thought I'd heard some banging downstairs in the early hours, but thought nothing of it, I know different now. Of my lot, there's only Bola who goes thro' the flap at the sort of speed likely to break it, so I'm fairly sure ...

Moto's tactics

We occasionally let Teddy in to the garden for some fresh air and we put an extending lead on him. Well this lead is in the garden all the time, even when we don't use it, it's on the ground. The last 3/4 times Teddy has been out , Moto has started to chew the cord of the leash, so there we have Teddy attached to the lead, quite happy with himself and then half way down, we have Moto frantically chewing to cord, he never looks at it if Ted isn't attached to it, only when he is. We reckon, Moto ...

Buddy is acting a bit peculiar lately. He stayed out all yesterday came in for food, didn't eat it and went out again until nearly bed time he came wandering in again, then out again. He's just come in and I gave him food but he didn't want it. He went outside, again, and when I went near him he kept running away. I did manange to get a cuddle from him, and a quick play. He is back in the house being wicked, clawing his way up my couch. Can't understand why he won't eat, maybe he's getting food ...

It's a pic of Dexters fav hiding place when he's here playing hide and seek with Bola, under the bedspread on the spare bed (it's a scruffy old bedspread used in a vain attempt to protect the duvet and cover from wet cats and fur )

For the first time in ages he hasn't called for food when *passing* tho' he was outside just now, but has wandered off. He called last night at midnight, so I left him in the kitchen with a bowl of food as I went to bed.

I was just looking through some pics of the cats and i can't help but notice some of the positions they adopt over and over again on different occasions - for example i have countless pictures of Monty lying on his back with his legs akimbo looking very proud of himself! And Misty always seems to be lying on something with her front legs hanging down or chin flat to the ground.

What positions are your cat's favorites???

Cats and the hoover... such different views

Just been hoovering all over the place... and I still find it funny how differently my two reacts to the hoover.

As a kitten Pok was terrified of the hoover, but as he's grown older, and the hoover a bit less scary (used to be an upright one, not any more), he will now "tolerate" it... barely! lol! He will either walk out of the room, or jump onto something high. As I was just hoovering the living room and the cat room, he went into the kitchen.

Litter tray

Lilly has an enclosed litter tray she has always had this and used it with no problem at all, it's so much better than an open tray as it keeps all the smells in, but now she has taken to using Saffy's little open litter tray and not her own.

I know she is only doing this as she can smell saffy's sent and wants to cover it with her own but OMG! Saffy's tray is only small and when lilly go's in there there is no room for her hole body so poop and pee always end up on the floor (thank goodness ...
