There's a killer in my family.

Post by Teddy on Sun May 18, 2008 6:27 pm

And that is Sophie, my delicate, little princess has a new hobby, catching, killing and eating fresh fast food, SPARROWS. At least 3/4 times last week there was a half eaten bird lying either on the step at the kitchen door or inside in our diningroom. Today she had one in her mouth and was just about to come in to the kitchen but I stopped her, so she took said sparrow round to the front garden and tucked. To think I am forever kissing into her, yuk. LOL

Naughty Sophie! But what can you do, eh! It's in their nature. My parents have had a spait of bird killings by their cats in the last couple of weeks. I guess it's because it's nesting season. Poor birds and BAD cats!

I also have the same problem. Yesterday morning I was about to go into the kitchen with Mary, to her breakfast, and she stopped before she got to the door, so I quietly went into the kitchen, half expecting the neighbours cat to be in the kitchen, and saw Buddy with a bay bird in his mouth, so I chased him out and he sat on the lawn and ate it. That's the first one he has brought in for a while.

I know it's natural for them, but it isn't natural for us and it's so gross. LOL

Naughty Sophie and Buddy... and well done to them too! lol!

It's sad the little birdies and mice get killed... but one cannot help oneself from feeling proud too... as long as they don't drag their "goodie" inside... lol!

We used to let Sam out all night, he was used to doing that when we got him so just continued to let him have complete freedom, but so many times I would be wondering aroung the house either during the night or first thing in the morning and I've lost count of the times I ALMOST stood on a dead *thing*, oh yukky, even the thought of standing on a dead bird/mouse makes me shudder, it's ahead of standing on a newly thrown up hair ball. LOL

LOL! Baaaaaad Sophie and Buddy!

I know what you mean, over kissing and snuggling in, then to think of what they've been 'eating' and 'clawing'! LOL
