Panic last night
The
fireworks started around 8pm and carried on till late, but only Bola was outside and as it was raining hard I expected him to come strolling in but he didn't.
I kept nipping outside shouting him, but still no sign at midnight, and I was at my front gate when I noticed a cat *head shape* under the net curtain thro' a gap in the junk room curtains. I'd left the light on so it really stood out. Much relieved, tho' cursing him, I went back upstairs only to find he wasn't there, the shape I'd seen was just the way the net curtain was folded.
Back outside at gone 12.45 for one final look, he turned up at my feet, drenched. I guess he'd been on his travels when the fireworks started and hid somewhere. He came in with me, had a play for a while then trotted off and the next thing I heard was the flap go, so much for my being worried about him

Re: Panic last night
He's much the same as Beckett was in that fireworks don't bother him much, once he's got used to them starting, at least in the house, he'll happily sit on a windowsill watching them. I can't see him being so unconcerned outside tho', which is why I was surprised he didn't come home.

Re: Panic last night
he could have been in quite a secure place and felt safe. My two aren't bothered about the fireworks either, their ears perk up and Sophie's just take off, but that's about it. I keep them in just for my own peace of mind, and as they've never been outside while fireworks have been going off, I haven't a cue how they would react.

Re: Panic last night
Prince always seems to be outside when they go off, cos, like most places these days, the damned things arent confined to just 5th Nov, they started 2 days before around here, and will no doubt STILL be continuing tonight.
So we cant just keep him in night after night, but he "doesnt appear" to be too bothered by them.

Re: Panic last night
Amazingly, it was a relatively firework free Saturday night
The town bonfire/firework display started pretty much on time at 7pm, but I didn't hear much then and even less after 8.30, in fact I don't remember hearing another one go off after 9pm. My lot were in and out so the noise didn't bother them too much, the nearest I got to *proper* fireworks was when Fudge spotted Jimmy in the kitchen

Re: Panic last night
They were all in, barring Jimmy, when I nipped out for a drink last night, but only Fudge was here when I got home about 9.30 which surprised me as there were fireworks aplenty. None of them came in after I'd gone to bed and Bola only came home at 5am, with Buddy strolling in 25 minutes later, along with Max.
