Wet and windy so far today................

Post by Ian B on Sun Nov 01, 2009 9:34 am

..........with the result I've had 5 soaked to the skin cats in the house, Bola, Fudge, Buddy, Jimmy and Dexter Rolling Eyes

At least Fudge has dried out and stayed in, the others have been in and out since 5.30am, getting dry only to get soaked again. They've been using me as a towel, then the sofa, chairs and beds to finish off drying, not to mention using them as a race track.

It's light now so is all quiet atm, but it won't last long, except for Buddy, he keeps giving me that "I'm hurt" miaow but is only *stuck* behind the shower curtain Laughing

Did I say windy? It's now blowing a gale, there's a tall fir tree in my garden that is almost bent double, I wouldn't be suprised to see the fence behind it being knocked over with the tree being blown against it Shocked

Even the cats have got sense enough to stay in.

It's the same here Ian Shocked It wasn't too bad at 6am when I started work - just a light shower - but by 8am it was pouring down! Luckily Allan and Mark had finished delivering papers so didn't get TOO soaked But then it REALLY deteriorated and by the time I had finished at 12.30 the roads were flooded as the drains couldn't cope and the rain was coming down in sheets!!! It's now stopped raining but the wind is thundering around outside!

A lazy night in front of the fire reading a good book beckons tonight methinks!

It's calmed down a bit now, enough for Bola, Buddy, Jimmy, Max and Dexter to venture outside anyway, hopefully the latter three have gone home after being here since first thing today.
