Please Please Please sign this petition A cat friend of mine has lost one of dearly beloved companions to a dog that was not being controlled by its irresponsible owners!!!!http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/17277Under current legislation, the RSPCA, dog wardens & police are practically powerless act against or prosecute the owners of dogs that attack and/or kill domestic cats. Thanks Ian. It means a lot.

the dogs were actually roaming free and the cat was in it's own garden when the dogs got in...... well you can imagine the rest. My friend is still very distressed by it, although it was the neighbour that tried to stop the dogs and took the cat to the vet, but the damage had been done and was pts on friday night.

*edit* Just heard another 2 cats have been attacked by a dog, one has died, not sure about the other one.

I don't recall any deaths here Lynn, but we used to have problems with dogs wandering free. It's not so bad nowadays, tho' any dog that does get in and goes for any of my lot, it probably wouldn't see the other side of the fence again.
