is open for business. True, there are some very bad looking pages, which I forgot to update when I did the latest sweep through the site ..... or was it the time before? Maybe I left that to the Cats and they forgot to finish up? Well, we'll tend to the errors and mis-matched stuff and things soon enough. Gives you something to come back to later, and later, and later .....

Don't be too late though. You might miss the changes to the changes.

Enough, I am long winded, and I love my Cats. I do hope you will forgive me the former. As to the latter, you wouldn't dare!!!!!

We are a family, Lisa and I, with our rescues and walk-overs.

Let me explain walk-overs if I may. The two little cats relegated to the Cat Porch never to venture inside the house moved over from across the road bag and baggage, and have been here, one over 4 years and the second almost as long. We were gifted with the two little ones with a reluctant "good luck ..... you'll need it" from the previous 'owners'. The full story is still in writing phase, the two little ones' photo albums are not up and running yet, as is a long list of other pages, so if you join the crown and visit you will have something to go back for again, and again, and ......

Sorry, but I told you I am long winded.

See the 6 Mouskateers of Five Oaks Manor, South Woods, NE MS, USA at
Buddy Bear's Cats' World. They are waiting for you. If you have a website, consider joining Buddy's Top Cat Site List, maybe send some pictures of your lovelies to be added to the two new Friends Pets' Photo Album. (Oh, and that page has some errors on it also, ie: the forum has been closed.)

Oh Roy I have just read your tribute to Princess Ebony and it's so touching I am in tears. Your love for her comes shining through. A few of us in the forum have lost beloved cats and know how you felt/feel.
I will take time out later today and look at the rest of your site, but for now, I will just think of Princess Ebony and my own wee Sam (RIP).

Buddy Bear's Cats' World Empty Re: Buddy Bear's Cats' World

Post by KnightOwl Tue Oct 21, 2008 6:02 am

Thank you Teddy and maddymoo for the compliments. Princess Ebony was with me for so long, and was such a loving and attached little girl there's no way I could ever forget her. And now I have a carbon copy on my carport (read here Cat Porch). One of the two that moved over from across the road with bag and baggage is an elderly pudgebutt so much like Princess Ebony that I have caught myself calling her Princess. The little cat answers to it when I call, so I'm not going to break the habit. I do know she is NOT my PE, but I do know she needs be in the house with us, but that is something that will never happen I'm afraid. The $$$ is too thin to handle the vet bills to assure us we'll not be chancing infecting the 4 inside boys with something the little Lady might have. So we have our chair on the Cat Porch and we share cuddle and purr time. She's just a pudgy, fluffy little heart with 4 feet and an age worn upper lip. That tongue has taken it's toll on the upper lip just as had Princess'.

Sorry ..... this is getting long. I best save it for the page I'm working up for The Cat Porch Ladies, Smokey and Spooky. Why that kid had to name the little black one Spooky I'll never know. Whatever, thanks again for the good words.

More additions to the website shortly.

Post by KnightOwl Wed Oct 22, 2008 3:13 pm

Just checked on the girls out there just before I signed in here. Both were curled in their nests warm and toasty, content enough to give me a quick look, a sleep drugged 'Maiow', and for Smokey, a big stretch before curling back into tight little balls of fluff, then returning to the land of nod. Food bowls almost full, water bowls freshened last night late, I gave the world a quick look, took a deep breath of crisp chill Autumn air, and made for the warmth of the 'puter room. Next time I go out there I'll put my britches on. Whuff! Winter is on it's way. Indeed!

Thanks all for the complements.

Just past 7 in the morning, getting to be daylight now, so I'll do the soft din-din for the clowder. Every other day is the schedule, but we did not put it out yesterday. Everyone took it in stride and didn't raise a ruckus, but I doubt we'll be so lucky today.

Have a great day everyone, and Ya'll come see us when you can.

If I may, I would like to extend an invitation to all reading and expecially all posting here to join me on Worldcrossing.com.

We've a Form that's, under one title or the other, been open and operational (when WC is stable and the bugs are asleep) since 2003, called, as if you didn't expect it,

Buddy Bear's Cats' World BuddysPlaceBnrPCTAF600x135-1

Buddy's Place is open to everyone registered with Worldcrossing. If you have any problems getting registered, contact me at cwmail at homestead . com. Click on the banner, and follow the prompts. If you don't get the conformation email back in short order just plunge on into the forum and do your thing. They'll catch up with you soon enough.

Join us, if for nothing but the novelty of it. The format is a mite different from the phpBB setup most of the folks 'over there' are used to, but, trust me, it is way much better. Only problem is the system has bugs, gremlins, and suspicious characters. The sysops claim to be clearing things up, and to date have done fairly well over the past few month, but there's much left to do. Right now everyone will receive the equivalent of a pro account. Now is the time to get in an learn the ropes. Buddy and KnightOwl have more than a few friends that are up on the highways and byways of the place and will be more than happy to help in any way. Just tell 'em Roy sent you from "For the Love of Cats".

Oh, one other thing ...... dropping links to this, and any other cat and/or other pet related site, is welcomed ...... more than welcome to be exact. There's supposed to be a thread for the links ...... oh, and you'll notice we go on threads, and on, and on, and on, ......... ???

Ya'll come see us. We'd love to have you.

That's the plan, although as I went out just a few minutes ago to do some things in the yard I was swarmed by the two girls, Smokey and Spooky. I wound up carrying Smokey and escorting Spooky on a walk around the acre. When I put Smokey down to let her walk on her own Spooky crawled up my pants leg to get her turn. We sat down in the overstuffed chair spread the blanket on my lap and I had a cuddle fest with the two little outsiders. So much for the outside work. I came in the door and was swarmed by MikiCato who is so jealous of the little Smokey he can't stand to see me close to her. I had to come in here and hold him a bit to calm him down. Now he's dozing in my lap and I'm considering the weekend upcoming to be a known success. I've got my kits to keep me happy. Oh, well, M'Lady has something to say about that too, but she is busy holding a sleeping Cream colored kitty (Tegar).

Yes, our weekend is all laid out for us.

Don't you just love life in the fast cat lane? Purrrrfect I'm thinking.

Just now re-discovered how to find out where I have posted here. Old folks do forget a lot. Buddy Bear's Cats' World 172268

Made the big mistake of falling asleep around 11 in the pm, woke up before 3 in the am. Teach me to curl in early. So, after checking on the two outside kitties, making sure the resident raccoon hasn't made any overly large messes on the Cat Porch (he managed to open a tool box one night .... nothing missing though), then doing a count of tails in the house (all four conveniently curled around and near M'Lady Lisa), and settling the rumbling in my stomach, I am here, strangely, with nothing to say or show. Oh, I have lots of things ready to post, many could possibly be fun, but I think I best take it one step at a time. I'm still not quite awake. That takes an hour or so to get the motor running properly.

So, this is actually a Hi and Hello from Buddy Bear, Tegar, MikiCato, Spooky, Rowdy and Smokey (the 6 Mouskateers of Five Oaks Manor), M'Lady Lisa, and Me.

Have a great week, take care, and smile the while.

Not really! Smokey and Spooky seem NOT to care for his presence in their world. They will not attack him/her, but they are very vocal about the little pest. Actually, I'm thinking the little one is too young to be into DIY for anything other than feeding the face. We'll see!

Nasty gray soggy humid unfriendly hot yucky ..... some of the words that come to mind for today. So, we'll be attending to Life inside the house till this evening.
