Buddy Bear and the Mouskateers of Five Oaks Manor
Finally getting to it. Here I'll load the pictures of Buddy Bear and his bro/sisfurrs from Buddy Bear's Cats' World. I'm just catching up with lost time, so this will be slow starting.
Actually, not so slow. I have one picture to start us off, then we'll take them as time permits.
Buddy 'Bubba' Bear, 10 years old, head kitty and leader of the clowder
at Five Oaks Manor, SouthWoodsUSA
This day he was a little peeved at the 'Large One'
because of the flashy thing going off in his face.
He da boss kitty. I won't tell him otherwise.
If I did he wouldn't sleep on my right arm at night.

Another of the Mouskateers, this time MikiCato is the little Mississippi Short hair's name. He's 7 years old, and the 'Large One's' owner.
Oh, and before I forget, 'Large One' is ME, and 'Small One' is Miss Lisa. Just so you know.
This is a fresh made picture.
I was just finishing uploading pictures from the camera
to the PC when I heard a rustle and a kitty yawn.
He had just hopped up on the counter wing
to settle down for his afternoon nap.
I unplugged the camera and started snapping
This was one shot that was a bit of a thrill to me.
I'm not always this lucky.
Such a large, rough tongue on such a small, cuddly little cat. My hands, chin and nose stay extra special clean because of this little guy.

Great pics Roy
I love the way cats can look really unimpressed at having their pics taken at times MikiCato's tongue sounds like one of mine, Max, he's forever washing me as well.

Re: Buddy Bear and the Mouskateers of Five Oaks Manor
Glad you folks like the pix. To me, catching shots of the little guys and girls giving that tongue a work-out has become a favored pastime. Well, taking pictures of them actually is the whole story. So much else in the world around me that I can take pictures of, but I favor my children. They're so much fun, and there is never a static shot with them. Well, maybe when you first slip up on them in the middle of an afternoon catnap.
While we're on the subject of tongues and washing, here's one of a set of three or four I took not long ago.
Taking a break out front after a lawn cutting session
I was set upon by Smokey, one of the two outside kitties
She started at the elbow and worked her way up.
Cleanest arm in town, I tell ya.
I'll post the rest of the set later.
Amazes me I can still hold a camera and get a good shot now and again. For a time there I couldn't get anything in focus. Of course the new camera make all the difference in the world.

Re: Buddy Bear and the Mouskateers of Five Oaks Manor
Thanks LittleKitty and Chunckyboy.
This next little lady is not that hip on bathing the Large One. Better yet, she prefers the taste of the Small One, when, that is, she can get the Small One out on the Cat Porch for a cuddle.
Her name is Spooky, at least that's the name she was given
by her previous owners. She was a bout a year old
when she and Smokey came strolling across the road, bag and baggage.
I gave her a cuddle, a bowl of crunchies and a bowl of water.
6 years later I'm still giving her crunchies and water,
plenty of lap time, cuddles, brushings, and wishing
we could take her inside with the 4 boys.
She stays out with her sisfurr, Smokey.
She has to make sure the car always has plenty of 'kitty prints' on it.

Re: Buddy Bear and the Mouskateers of Five Oaks Manor
Just catching up on my posts around the WWW this evening (finally), and I had this item I posted at Buddy's BlogSpot left on my Note Pad. Though I might drop it here for everyone. It's a snapshot taken from one of the pages on Buddy Bear's Verse and Things website.
Little cat follows me around the acre day and night
even when I have the 'flashy thing in hand and point it at her
She just blinks, says "Miaowr" and scampers behind a tree or bush

Re: Buddy Bear and the Mouskateers of Five Oaks Manor
Now I have a question for anyone with the fastest fingers. Notice the last picture posted. I use 640x480 sizes for all my forums and blogs and such. When the width is 600 or less on the respective site, I just add width="600" or whatever is necessary to cut down to size. I can resize using HTML, but not in phpBB. How is that done here?
Re: Buddy Bear and the Mouskateers of Five Oaks Manor
One of my favorites of the older pictures
Miki guarding his basket
While keeping an eye on his silk tie 'snake'
that the Small One had sewn just for him
Rowdy swiped the 'snake', and Buddy took the basket
when Miki went after Rowdy
Re: Buddy Bear and the Mouskateers of Five Oaks Manor
We still have two more of the boys to show you. Here's one of them. We call him Yeller Feller, spoiled brat, cuddles, and numerous other names ..... he answers to any. Even comes when I snap my fingers.
Little bitty yellow fluffy kitty grew up and filled a basket full
He is called Tegar (pronounced T - Gar) just FYI
He's a ladies Cat, but he's also my snuggle buddy as well
He is the clown of the house
and he's the #1 guard cat

Re: Buddy Bear and the Mouskateers of Five Oaks Manor
Then there's the Baby, more commonly called (by me) The HEATHEN for reasons we won't go into right at present.
Also nicknamed 'Little Prince' for his regal bearing
when he knows he's being observed
Rowdy is the baby of the house
You can't tell it by looking at the big lummox
He is one big kitty
His Small One saved his life. He was sick when little.
Vet said he would not live long.

Great pics again Roy
I've gotta ask about Smokey being a licker, does she nibble as well? Both Fudge and Max are lickers here but Max isn't happy unless I let him bite me as well. They're only playful nibbles, I've never know another cat do this.

I think I have been absent way too long. Sorry.
Ian, all 6 of the little ones want a 'love bite' from time to time. However Buddy, Miki, and occasionally Tegar and Smokey are the ones I would expect it from. Rowdy and Spooky have never put tooth to either Lisa or Me. Buddy is the 'nibble puss' where I'm concerned. Always a nap time nibble, and of course a wake up nibble.
Now, as to my long delay in returning with pix of the clowder. This old frame has spend a week in hospital with most of the time in ICU. I'm out and on my own, with a fist full of pills to take, a monthly visit to Urology and receiving a 'checkup call' monthly from the Heart clinic. Seems the old body wants to retire, a piece at a time.
I say "Sorry, ain't my time yet!"
So we shall continue the kitty pix and conversation, with, of course everyone's permission.
Re: Buddy Bear and the Mouskateers of Five Oaks Manor
Not only permitted, but looked forward to. Stories and pics from your brood are always welcome.

Re: Buddy Bear and the Mouskateers of Five Oaks Manor
Thanks Joanne and Ian.
Just making the rounds tonight, before taking my weary self to the feathers with the clowder. I'll have to carry the lap robe with me though. Miki is a heavy sleeper and will not know what's happening if I don't take him with me.
Still and all, mayhap we will settle in with a good book and fall asleep with our spectacles on (again). Just keeping up with the Lady of the House with that one.
The day was dreary, but not so chill, and I'm told we will have a bit warmer weather the next week. Not to fear. I will NOT be going out in the weather until bread, milk, eggs and cat food are needed. I might even skip the bread and milk.
Anyway, good Day one and all. Have the best of everything and come when you can.
