Oil

How can I get oil off Mary's fur. We had an oil spill yesterday and some got left from being cleaned up and now Mary has got some on her. She hates baths, so that's no use and she doesn't like being handled much either. Will have to try and catch her and keep her in until the rest of the oil outside has been cleared up.

You could try sprinkling talc on the oil to absorb it, but it should really be washed out, I know she doesn't like baths, which cat does, but you don't want her licking oil. Good luck, don't envy you.

I'll have a go with the talc, don't think she'll like that though if that fails I'll try to wash it out when she's asleep.

If the talc doesn't help you need to rub in detergent and then rinse it out really well.

What about baby wipes? May be worth having a go with them? I don't envy you one bit! Is it alot of oil? Oh poor Mary, it sounds like she may be needing a bath. Good luck.
