I hope I'm wrong...........

.......but I think something *may* have happened to Bola.

I'm up at this God forsaken hour as I can't shake off the feeling he's hurt somewhere. He dashed out on the stroke of midnight last night just as I was going to bed, tho' I wasn't ovely bothered as he never stays out long. I hadn't been in bed half an hour when I heard a cat screaming in pain, the sort of weak sound Bola would make, so up I got to go and see if I could find him, but no sign.

I've had a fitful nights sleep, made worse by Dexter coming in around 4am, running round the house like a mad cat, he's never done this before and it was almost as tho' he was trying to tell me something. I got up, scoured the house, then garden with a torch, but nothing. The screaming came from the back of my house, so at least it wasn't coming from a road, but my stomach is in knots atm, and will be till he's back safe and sound. If he was anywhere nearby he'd have seen me put the lights on in various rooms this morning, and come home because he'd know I was up.

Yay, he's back but badly shook up, tho' there are no injuries that I can see, so something definitely happened last night. He could have been involved in a fight I suppose, but there was only one cat making all the noise last night so I can't see that.

Aww poor Bola. Glad to hear that he's back now, maybe he strayed a little to far and got into a fight. You can never usually find any injuries as they hide them so well. Maybe he will feel better after a good sleep.
Once when we took Buddy to the vet for a sore foot she found wounds from a fight that we hadn't found, although we checked him thoroughly. You never can tell with cats.

Yeah, it probably was a fight and he's calmed down a bit now. He was bone dry when he reappeared, odd as by the looks of things it had been raining all night, tho' his fur is stilled ruffled, and if there are any injuries, they're well hidden.

Trying to find injuries is a nightmare, he probably was in a fight, I know when I hear Moto fighting there is often only one sound, even when they are at the * look at me and run* bit, before the fistie cuffs start, I only ever hear Moto. So put it down to a fight and look out for any signs of an abcess, could be a wound hidden amonst all that fur. Hopefully he'll be ok and nothing will come of it.

He went out of the flap like a bat out of hell after something, so maybe he saw a stranger and went after it..................then wished he hadn't He's been playfighting with Jimmy, so can't be feling that bad now.

What made me think it was him making all the noise is that he has such a pathetic miaow, so if he ever does *shout* it won't be that loud, I probably wouldn't be able to hear it during the day.

Sounds like he'll be fine by the sound of it.

Oh thank god he's ok. That is the worst feeling, when you know there's something wrong but theres not alot you can do. Extra treats for Bola for coming home.

Extra treats was the plan, but he's hardly eaten since he came home. He's refused some wafer thin ham and even turned his nose up at some sliced roast pork, tho' he took a few nibbles at his dry bowl, but that's it.

He seems ok, if a bit subdued/sleepy atm, but I don't think there's anything physically wrong with him.

He's a real worry, so he is. One minute up next down, but as long as you are able to keep an eye on him, that's all you can do.

Here's hoping he gets back to being his normal self soon.

Ugh... that's "something's wrong" feeling is the pits... so glad he came home safe and sounds!!!
