Buddy's Missing
He had his breakfast this morning and played with Mary and then went out at eight thirty this morning and he hasn't been back home yet. Have tried calling him and shaking cat bics box but no reply. I know he does tend to wander but I'm really starting to panic now. The reason is that there was an article in our local paper last week that a cat, not far from us, had been tortured and burnt with cigarettes and then left to die with a dog lead around it's neck. I now panic everytime mine go out and am scared someone will harm them. I can't rest knowing that whoever did that to the poor kittie is still out there and may harm other cats.
God I hope he comes home soon, Mary has been looking for him all day.

Re: Buddy's Missing
I hope Buddy comes home soon, if he's used to having a good wander then hopefully he's just got carried away and not realised that he's hungry yet! Even so it's a big worry for you especially after hearing that story, can't believe that people could be so cruel.
Let us know when he turns up, try not to worry (easier said than done!) x

Re: Buddy's Missing
He'll most likely be enjoying the better weather, and will come home when his tummy starts rumbling.
At times I wish my lot were more sociable with other people, but hearing about the tortured cat, I'm kinda glad they run a mile at the first sight/sound of anyone else but me. I'm pretty sure that whatever may happen to them, being caught and deliberately hurt is very, very unlikely.

Re: Buddy's Missing
Oh Lynn, so frightening, hopefully as Ian has said, he's enjoying the warmer weather. You must be worried sick though, how can people be so cruel to an animal. Thinking of you and sending positive vibes.

Re: Buddy's Missing
Bastards. How could they? I mean, how on earth can people get their jollies doing that. Hopefully the next article will be that those responsible have been found and tortured to death themselves!
I don't blame you for being beside yourself after reading that article, any of us would be imagining the worst. Saying that tho I'm sure Buddy will be fine. As Kath and Ian have said, they weather is fairer so he'll be having a great time (possibly fighting with other cats lol) but non the less, he'll come back and will have the look of 'what!?' on his face when you are relieved to see him. They can be such naughty critters, scaring us like this!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Come home NOW~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (vibes for Buddy)
Re: Buddy's Missing
Come on Buddy, come home you wee tinker!
Am sure, like the others, that he is just having a wander-lust day and will be home soon when his belly rumbles!
As for what those people did - I cant even think about it, what is WRONG WITH THESE MORONS!
Re: Buddy's Missing
Oh no! Buddy come home!
I do hope he's back now, Lynn. Please keep us updated. Hopefully he's out enjoying the sun and please don't assume those cruel idiots have got him. That sort of terrible behaviour can't be that common. xx
Any news yet? I do hope the little one has come back home to you safe and sound! (((((hugs)))))
Oh how terrible what happened in your neighbourhood... cannot stand even the thought of these things happening... how cruel can people get?
Re: Buddy's Missing
Is he back yet?
I know now the weather is getting better I'm seeing less and less of Bola during the day, and for the first time he went out last night about 8pm and I didn't see him again till he came in and woke me at 3am
I can't say as I slept easy till he came back, but it's something I'll have to get used to now.
Re: Buddy's Missing
It's such a worry, Sophie went out after tea-time last night and didn't come in until 9. That's the latest she's ever been out and I was out calling her, then Steve went out , but we couldn't see her, then she ambled in, not a care in the world. Hopefully Buddy will have done the same Lynn.
Re: Buddy's Missing
He's now home safe. The little sod came in late last night, tail in the air and doing his "strut" and was I relieved to see him. After lots of cuddles and kisses he had his dinner and supper all at once, then we went to bed and cuddled all night, only to be woken at 5.30 am to Buddy and Mary play fighting on the bed.
Re: Buddy's Missing
