Sad day Empty Sad day

Post by littlekitty Sat Sep 05, 2009 4:27 pm

Just had a phone call from my sister and her neighbour has just found my sister's cat cat dead in front of her car. He was very thin so he must of been trying to get home, but didn't make it. He wasn't there yesterday so must of died during the night.
Am in bits as he was a beautiful boy, and always loved a cuddle.

RIP Muffin.

Hi Lynn,

So sorry to hear about Muffin Crying or Very sad

Personally, this is a situation in which I'd rather not know what had happened to them, just hope that perhaps they'd found another home, or that they'd been found hurt and taken to a vet for treatment then rehomed. Finding out that they'd tried so hard to get back and got so close but that I wasn't there when they really needed me, would haunt me for a long time, not that I mean to make anyone feel guilty by saying that.

It's no consolation, but he knew where he was loved and wanted and did his best to get back there.

RIP Muffin, he tried to the end.

Hi Ian,
I never thought he would end up like that, and so close to home to. I always believed he was alive and well maybe living with someone else.
It was only the other day that I told my sister he was still alive somewhere, where he went or what he was doing the past twelve weeks only he knew.
He was covered in mud and really thin so maybe he had been trapped somewhere, in a ditch, or he had got in to someone's shed/garage and been shut in for weeks, maybe because people have been on holiday during the summer. Maybe he was just sick. We'll never know.
At least now he's home, she buried him in the garden, so she has closure.
