Choking scare
Bola is asleep on my bed, he's been there since just before lunch after having what I thought was a choking fit. He was lay on a chair in the living room and I took a bit of food in to him, of course he ate while still lay down and the next thing I knew he was coughing for England
He'd got up and legged it before I could get a closer look but I caught up with him in the hall..............tho' not before I almost broke my neck after standing in a huge pile of food he'd brought back up. He's very, very subdued atm, tho' purrs away merrily when stroked, but I'll be keeping a very close eye on him till he perks up again, just in case.

Re: Choking scare
AGH! Such a scary sound, an animal choking. Its horrific, and what the heck do you do! Hope the "Guzzle Guts" is ok, but no doubt he will NOT learn his lesson. *wags finger at Bola*

Re: Choking scare
My first thought was Heimlich maneuver for cats, but after reading about it online, couldn't remember how it was done. Check the video out here http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-save-a-cat-from-choking*Prince* wrote:AGH! Such a scary sound, an animal choking. Its horrific, and what the heck do you do! He's just woke up, had a nibble at the dry food on my bed then strolled downstairs, so he's ok now

Re: Choking scare
I'm a bit in awe at the discription on how to manually dislodge the object, oh yes I can just see that one being successful, distressed cats, claws and teeth, not a good combination.
Glad Bolas fine though Ian, it is awful the noises they can make.
