The Boo of course, who else Rolling Eyes
She is still pee'ing on top of the hooded trays! We've washed the tops with biological washing powder, changed the filters, wiped with white vinegar and leave the handle up to make it more awkward for her and leave a citrus sented wipe on there and she still pees there! Ugh! It's both trays not just the one and we keep them clean, scoop them out everyday, change enitirely at least once a week, sooner if needed. We haven't changed litter (as if we get a different make she just plain refuses to use the trays at all) and she doesn't have a problem using the tray for poopsies. It's not the end of the world or anything, it's just a bit irritating and we don't want the house to smell of cat pee either
Anyone got any ideas over how to discourage this behaviour? Oh and yes we do have feliway diffusers. Wink

Remove the hoods for a week or two? She'll have to use the tray or learn to pee in mid air by levitating Laughing

Good idea Ian (also very interesting imagery regarding Boo wee'ing by levitation!) Very Happy

I was going to suggest cutting holes in the hood so the pee drains onto the litter, but in retrospect that was a pretty stupid idea Embarassed Laughing

Not a bad idea really Ian, especially if she can't be made to stop pee on top of them. I would remove the lids too Helen, see how she reacts to that, weird that she only does that to pee though, so she couldn't really have a problem with entering the tray. Sorry no help at all, try putting something awkward on top of the tray so she can't get on there and again see if that distracts her, a football maybe, something she wouldn't be able to cling too.

May put some razor wire on top of the trays lol..... not really ;-)

Aye, I'll try putting something awkward on top of the trays first as I'm reluctant to remove the lids in case it is too much of a change for her and we then have problems getting her to use them when hooded again, but will give it a go if she still finds a way to pee on them, grrrrr, bad cat lol.

Thanks guys x
