Malo confined to the house
We had a day out planned for yesterday, with an early start. Before we left, however, we noticed that Malo was acting strange and a closer look revealed a burst abscess on his head. Probably the aftermath of a fight wound that we hadn't noticed before. It was fun trying to catch him and pin him down and clean said wound. It did mean, however, that Malo was confined to the house all day to prevent dirt getting into it. We spent the day at NEC, in the company of a vet's assistant, so were able to get some advice. Anyway, when we got home the sore was healed over and Malo appeared none the worse for being kept in all day. This morning the wound is as good as new and Malo was happy to be let out.
