First frog of the year.......

.....thanks to Bola yesterday.

At least this one was dead and I wasn't in bed when he brought it in to show me, but if last year is anything to go by I'm in for a lot more *presents*

On a side note, I saw him stalking a bird earlier, the first time I've seen him in genuine hunting mode, but he's hopeless. All the excited chirrups and collar bell means he'd only be able to catch a half asleep, totally deaf bird

I saw a couple of frogs in my pond this morning when feeding the fish - and wondered when Bola would be bringing you pressies. Happily my two don't bring me pressies. Bonnie is totally useless, and rarely ventures outside anyway - her one and only present was a toad, when she was a bit more nibble. Malo is more interested in defending and extending his territory. He barely looks at birds, but can sometimes show an interest in bees and wasps - which can be a bit of a worry. I did see him once looking inquisitively at a frog but he soon lost interest so I guess we are lucky.
