Snorting.........

........that is, breathing hard down their noses, dragon-cat style.
I've only ever seen one cat do this before, many, many years ago and he only did it when he was getting a bit fed up/angry, so when the visitor from across the road started doing it I assumed he was the same.
Not a bit of it, he does it when being stroked and especially when having a belly rub or I'm playing with him and it's fantastically cute to hear

I have a vision of him snorting and blowing his nose at the same time, get the tissues ready.
