Fudge and grass

I've just discovered that, after thinking for the 14+ years she's been here that she doesn't like playing, if I get a long bit of grass and drag it near/past her she's in cat-play heaven

I've just had to give up playing with her as my back was getting too painful, but she would have been all too happy to carry on, probably till it got dark. At one point she even rolled over for a belly rub and play kicked/bit me and this the first time that's ever happened

She did it again later, purring like a madcat as she dived about after the grass but went back into I-don't-play-mode when Dexter arrived wanting to join in.

It looks like I've hit on something here, she's been diving around after grass like a kitten today

Good to hear, had to laugh though when Dexter wandered past, maybe she didn't want him to see her playful side. Street cred would have gone right out the window.

Could well be she doesn't want it known she has a playful side Why she'll play with grass but totally ignore the fishing rod with feathers toy baffles me tho'
