This is touching...

Found this while *surfing* LOL and the first page really says it all, so often people say to me *oh I couldn't do that* when I tell then I foster our little kitties, but for these people it must be so much worse. I haven't a clue what the rest of the site is saying, so don't blame me if anything should upset you.

Not upsetting, just very truthful.

We'd all like to think things like this just don't happen, but they do, and every day. Somebody, somewhere has to do it, and it's much better it happens quickly and with the dignity these places offer unwanted/lost pets.

Havent read the rest of the site, but the first page DOES say it all.
I know nearly ALL of us have said to you Kath, and to Nicola, who both foster, those exact same words. And of course, we mean exactly what is said at the end!
BTW - have you thought that, or have you always known what people meant when they said that?

Well, I have to admit there are times when it's been said to me when I feel like people must think I must be weird or hardhearted to do it and then there are other times when depending on who has said it, I felt like clocking them one, , but usually I know what is meant. There are times I wonder why I do??? But the people that site were talking about really do have a hard job and it's them that should be admired.

Wow.... that was though... even though I know its the way thing work... one still kind of wants to close ones eyes and pretend it isn't so.

My partners daughter used to work as a vet assistant at an animal shelter (as she loves animals so much and wanted to be a vet)... but she had to stop... the pain was just too much, having to help put down healthy animals because there was no room for them in the shelter.
