Go on... scare me...
In the fear of googeling and finding all sorts of horrible solutions, I'd rather take the horrible solutions from you guys... lol!
Pok, whom will normally do a wee max twice a day... has already been weeing like a horse 3 times today... so, compared to two small to moderate wees, he's now already done his third, all wees big enough to fill a swimming pool (atleast it's sounded like that). He has as normal not been drinking (he will occasionally have a few sips of shrimpwater, but that is it, he'll only drink from the pond at the house), nor is he getting any other food then what he normall does...

Re: Go on... scare me...
Hi pokbg,
I don't know what is normal for GT as he's only recently started using the litter trays, but he can pee for England. I had to change the litter, at least twice before lunch a few days back as it was absolutely sodden, but then he does drink plenty.
If this carries on with Pok, and it's beyond what you'd consider usual for any cat, a vet visit may be in order if only to put your mind at rest.

Re: Go on... scare me...
Yes... that's the problem... Pok HATES going to the vet... and it will also mean that he will start to associate the carrier again with the vets, which will not be joyous. I'm worried it can be diabetes... hoping it's nothing... but so very unlike him. I'll have to keep a close eye for the next few day (how delighful, having to closely monitor the littertrays... lol!).Ian B wrote:If this carries on with Pok, and it's beyond what you'd consider usual for any cat, a vet visit may be in order if only to put your mind at rest.
Re: Go on... scare me...
I cant help in the slightest, cos I have no idea how much cats pee, as Princey never pee's indoors (well apart from a couple of times in the years we've had him). As Ian said, if you continue to be concerned, then unfortunately a trip to the vet is the answer. I know the boy hates the carrier/going to the vet, like all our babies do, but his health comes first. Hope his pee pee's revert to type soon.

Re: Go on... scare me...
I'm certainly no expert on diabetes, but with that I would have thought excessive peeing would have come on gradually rather than suddenly as it sounds like with Pok.pokbg wrote:Yes... that's the problem... Re: Go on... scare me...
God I've just read this, cats can pee for Scotland, but watch him carefully, if he appears too sleepy, more than normal and he wants to eat all the time go to the vet, it's probably nothing to worry about but anything out of the normal, should be seen to.

Re: Go on... scare me...
I have no idea, beyond if it continues take him to the vet to be on the safe side. With peeing I only know about about lack of peeing and with the Moo when she has crystals she goes to the litter tray alot more often but the volume isn't there. Poor Pok, Pok, I hope its nothing, and your boy is back to his regular self soon.

Re: Go on... scare me...
He's had another massive wee... so that's four giant ones in one day, compared to his tiny little one or two... Partner is off on Monday, so unless he's back to normal by then it's off to the vets (or at any time if I start to believe it's something really serious... at the moment I'm just worried). I could understand if I'd changed his diet, as new food might have more liquid in it... but it's the same Tesco food as he always gets, plus the normal added shrimpies and fish...
Re: Go on... scare me...

Re: Go on... scare me...
Don't want to google it.... as anything I find I will be certain Poks got! Eeeeek! He's certainly not ill in anyway shape or form though, just peeing a lot... instead I think he's picked up some tricks from Bola, as he was going 100mph up and down the stairs chasing BG last night... lol! But, there was no fighting, just playing, which was fab, it just made a heck of a lot of noise.
Re: Go on... scare me...
Well he doesn't sound ill, I would just wait until Monday and see how it goes.

Re: Go on... scare me...
lol! Yes, he's back to being a one wee a day cat... lol! Which means he's back to normal (I'd be highly worried if BG went down to one wee a day though... she a many wees a day kitty).
Re: Go on... scare me...
