Jack-in-a-box
Well, more Max-in-a-box
It's the box some odds'n'sods I bought from Screwfix arrived in yesterday, I'd put it on the chair in the hope one of them would find/explore/use it, but they all ignored it at first. Eventually Max had a look and found it comfortable, and of course as soon as Bola spotted him there he wanted to try it out for size, so when Max woke and strolled into the kitchen for food, Bola was in like a flash.
Poor Max spent the next hour or so just prowling round, checking to see if Bola was still there every so often, before he got *his* box back. They were all locked out of the rooms downstairs overnight as usual, but as soon as I opened the living room door Max reclaimed his new fav bed.
For a cat who only nibbles at food, he's a bit of a porker

Re: Jack-in-a-box
Poor Max, he's been evicted............
First by Bola who sat on the back of the chair and stared at Max till he woke and moved just after lunch, then after Bola had vacated the box, Dexter moved in
On a side note, as open-top boxes like this are so popular, they may be a cheap'n'cheerful way of protecting furniture from fur (especially when wet) and scratches/pulled threads as they stretch. A bit late for my sofa and chairs, but boxes will hopefully stop the damage getting any worse.

It was Buddy's turn today
I've got a pic of Bola in the box from last night, but as usual with him, 99% of them turn out nothing better than a black blob
