Plooky Sophie
She wasn't a well cat yesterday, she spend the majority of the day in her bed which isn't like her, she didn't even bother to sit with me. But at tea-time she ventured outside and sat for a while, it was almost as if she was out for some fresh air. Today she has vanished so I'm hoping normal service has been resumed with her too.

Re: Plooky Sophie
Here's hoping she's back to normal Kath.
I guess they're no different to us in that they just want to be left alone when feeling a bit off colour.
It's a shame the part of their body that is bothering them doesn't change colour so we'd know instead of having to guess

Re: Plooky Sophie
She's back with me now, trying desperately to sit on my knee which I can't let her just yet as I have to work at the light table, but she'll probably go to her box lid.

Re: Plooky Sophie
I reckon I'll have to take Sophie back to the vets because her skin looks so scabbed and dry. I think it's the reaction of the harvest mite bite, although she's not frantically scratching she has raw bits on her tummy. I googled skin rashes on cats and it looks as though she's suffering from Anthropod Bite hyersensitivity, and I found what I think Moto has, cat skin Macules. I should have been a detective.

Re: Plooky Sophie
Took sophie to the vet this morning, almost missed it though as madam went out at breakfast time and didn't come back as she usually does. She's been given two injections, one is a steroid to help the itch and I can't rememebr what the other was for but apparently whatever it is lasts for 4 months so should see her through summer, so hope it works as she's so itchy right now.
