I think she's taken to sitting on our kitchen roof because Moto doesn't. Laughing She jumps from the greenhouse roof which is on the right onto the flatroof and wanders around , then sits on the corner. Laughing dark pic as the weather is crappy yet again.

Now this does look like our Malo. We have already noted that Malo and Sophie look similar - but sitting on a roof really settles it - they must have been separated at birth. Malo can nearly always be found on the corner of our flat roof, but I have to say he also likes to venture further up to the peak of the sloped roof. On the flat roof he sits quietly watching, on the peak he yells like crazy.

Laughing well Sophie was abandoned, although how anyone could abandon such a couthie loving cat like her is beyond me. She does venture further up but doesn't yell like crazy Laughing although we live in a cottage so the roof isn't too high up, onklytime she's ever been stuck was when she was around 6-7 months old, we had just started letting her out and she went up th etree in my neighbours garden and couldn't get down. She did eventually manage but it took a lot of persuading on my part. Laughing

My two have walked across our house roof and gone down the other side, Buddy is more daring than Mary though.
Must try and find some pics of them.

As I said, separated at birth - our Malo came to us as a stray/feral so could well have been abandoned too. I will have to dig out some pics too. He just loves being as high up as poss - but doesn't do trees as far as I know.

I'm glad Bola can't get any higher than my/next doors shed roofs and he loves sitting on a glass shelf in the living room. It must be all the cat ornaments on there that attracts him, tho' how he's never knocked them off is a mystery.

When we first saw (heard) Malo on the absolute point of our roof, we were very concerned and thought his yowling was showing distress. We soon learnt that he could readily get up and down and in fact the noise seems to be about him wanting others to know where he was, a sort of pride thing, or maybe proclaiming supremacy. He does like to be high up - but somehow trees do not appear to appeal to him. Oh, and character wise Malo and Sophie were not separated at birth as posts reveal Sophie to be a true sweetheart - whereas Malo is the strong-headed, independent, 'purpose of humans is to feed cats' type of cat.

@Ian - I am always amazed at how agile cats can be when it comes to avoiding ornaments - except for Bonnie who clatters into anything and everything.

Hi Joanne,

It's not so much the undisturbed ornaments that amazes me, more that the glass shelf is only balanced on the brackets. I was terrified the first time I saw him jump on it as he's by no means a lightweight, but so far so good.
