How sweet they sleep

In response to Robin Ann's request about how our kitties sleep. Here is my Bonnie, where she sleeps every night. I know, I know - not the most hygienic, but just means we have to launder the bedding more often. By the way, her sore eye is a permanent feature, and nothing to worry about.

hee hee, very snuggly and cosy! Princey also sleeps under our quilt on the colder nights - who cares if its hygenic or not, no harm has come to any of us for it, has it!

Heh! Lovely bed warmers. And NO, it makes no difference whether they sleep in the bed with us or not. Lisa and I have been married and have had at least three to 8 cats in our homes and beds here in the US and 8 years in Germany for over 47 wonderful years, and we are still kicking. Who need hygienic when you can have the love of a little cat to sooth the day (and night).

It's good to know that others have the same outlook regarding cats sharing beds with us humans. I am so often pulled back and criticised for allowing it - but how lovely it is to have a furry bed warmer, that purrs you to sleep.

Having said that - 4 nights in a row now that Bonnie has decided against coming to bed. She appears to have decided that she is a nocturnal creature after all and is spending her nights exploring the house - which in turn creates quite a lot of noise and is keeping me awake.

I wouldn't have it any other way. I would miss Mary sleeping beside or feeling Buddy by my feet.

Have been missing my Bonnie these last few nights - hope her new phase doesnt last.

Happy to say that Bonnie came back to bed last night and stayed put until about 4am when she got up and moved to the other side of the bed.

Oh by the way - forgot to wish Isla a happy second birthday. Have been keeping an eye on the counter - then didn't just when it was upon us. Can be terrible twos, or terrific twos.

Lovely stripey - looks so much healthier nowadays. How is his wound now? Certainly looks comfy on 'his' chair.

He's in cat heaven on his chair Joanne, it's probably some time since he had the freedom to come and go from somewhere warm, dry and comfortable. The wounds have completely healed now I'm pleased to say.

For all he's fine with me and loves a good chin rub, he's very much a solitary cat who doesn't seek me out in the house. He comes in and heads for his chair, or when he's hungry, sits and waits in the kitchen for me to appear.

I suspect he goes into the living room from time to time to eat from the dry food that's there on the windowsill 24/7, but that's about it, oh, I tell a lie, I caught him asleep on the spare bed with Bola a few weeks ago, but that was a one off. I know he used to sneak upstairs looking for the 24/7 dry food in my bedroom when he first started coming in here as he woke me more than once.

Thanks Joanne, Isla had a lovely party the Saturday before her birthday, 2 of our mates from Manchester came down too. But then unfortunately we all got ill last week, started with Dave and I having sickness and I had a sore throat, then Isla came down with a chesty cough and was not good at all. She's just about recovered from it now, but still a bit chesty. She's being a nightmare at the mo, coz she's been ill we've had to let her sleep in with us as she wasn't settling with the cough. Now she's better she's playing on being ill when she isn't and wanting to come in bed with us. I hope we can nip this in the bud before it gets worse.

Hi Nicki,

The easiest way is to simply click the Host an Image icon (3rd left from the None (use implicit) box) when that opens browse to where the pics are stored on your pc, select your pic and click Host It. Wait a few seconds for it to upload then select the second link given (Image) copy and paste that into a post and that's it.

Lovely pic of Prince. If this is in his new surroundings, he looks well settled. Love his fang - with his fang and white expanse, from that angle he looks a little like Bonnie, only Bonnie has more black on her face. She does the fang thing too though. Can't wait to see the next one.
