Poppy
Just been speaking to my mum and learned the sad news that mum and dad's cat Poppy has had to be PTS today. We went to visit them yesterday and mum mentioned that Poppy had been acting strangely, not eating very much and meowing when her throat was touched. It turned out that she had a tumour at the back of her tongue and mum and dad took the decision to have her PTS as it was not worth prolonging the agony for Poppy. I'm gutted for them, Poppy was a cat with a massive personailty. I remember getting her as a kitten when I still lived with mum and dad. RIP Poppy xxx
Re: Poppy
Sorry to hear this Ali, she looked a bonny cat indeed
I think we've all been there and no matter how much making *that* decision is the right thing, it still takes time to accept it.
RIP Poppy

Oh so sorry to hear about Poppy. It is a very difficult decision, but always the right one - otherwise we wouldn't make it. RIP Poppy.

Re: Poppy
Thanks all. Mum came over today and she was saying how strange it is without Poppy. They won't get another cat now, not now that they are getting older etc. Mum said she felt a funny sensation on her face when she was on the phone to my auntie the other day, it was a soft brushing across her cheek....could have been Poppy? After all, she used to sit on the back of the sofa. I said it was Poppy saying that all is fine, a nice way to remember.
