Missing visitor
The young tabby from across the road, I've not seen her anywhere for 3 days now and this is very, very unusual. Their other cat, the black tom, is still calling here, so I hope nothings happened and they're just keeping her in.
'EDIT'
I forgot to say I've noticed a living room window left open during daylight hours at her home, I wonder if she's gone missing and this is to let her in if she returns?

Oh god I hope not, maybe she's like your lot and feeling lethargic so staying in. Nothing like being optimistic is there?

Re: Missing visitor
Still no sign of her. The longest she's gone without my seeing her is a day so it's getting a bit worrying, tho' her owners know she always goes into my garden. If she was missing I would have expected them to have asked if I'd seen anything of her before now.

You would expect them to, yes, do you ever see them? hang around outside in your garden to you can pounce on them when you see them and then ask.

Re: Missing visitor
I was checking the shed yesterday to see if she was there and I noticed her owner (wife/girlfriend) looking out of a upstairs window. I don't know if she was watching to see if her cat appeared, but she was there a while so probably was.

Re: Missing visitor
I'm pleased to say she's ok
I spotted her peeping thro' the flap about an hour ago so it looks like she'd been kept in. I ignored her this time and will try and carry on doing so just in case her owners think she's coming in here. It'll be hard, not least because my lot are scared of using the flap while she's there, and sooner or later I'll have to open the door to let them in or out.

Re: Missing visitor
I had to open the door to let Bola out at 8.15 last night because she was still sat on the doorstep, she had a right go at Bola when he ran past then yowled her head off for food. I gave in and gave her 1/2 a chicken wing and the way she snatched it out of my hand and demolished it suggests she was starving.
She may have been locked in somewhere and only called here when she couldn't get in at home. If the son from across the road still delivers the local free papers, it's due today so I'll try and ask him about her.

Re: Missing visitor
She wasn't about first thing today but has just appeared on the doorstep, again yowling for food when I opened the door to let Bola in. I don't know for sure, but she probably spent the night in my shed.

Re: Missing visitor
I missed the son on Friday and she's still hanging around here, tho' I've not seen her or their black cat so far today.
'EDIT'
I spoke too soon, she's just appeared, possibly spent the night in my shed.

Re: Missing visitor
I've not seen her since first thing today, hopefully she's at home considering the weather.
I can't help feeling sorry for their black cat tho', I keep seeing him trotting over there only for him to come in here later on. I've considered locking him out but he looks so pathetic when wet thro', I haven't the heart, he must be getting in at home sometimes as he couldn't survive on the treats he gets here, unless he's being fed elsewhere as well.

Re: Missing visitor
I was taking a wheelie bin out a few minutes ago and spotted her trotting across the road towards me, but it wasn't from her home, it was a house a few doors away from there. I know they have at least one cat, tho' they just feed more than own it as it's a giant feral who never goes into the house (it's big enough to scare my windowcleaners dog ) so maybe there's shelter for her there as well as my shed.

Re: Missing visitor
I've only seen it from across the road and that was enough I hate to think what it'd do to the flap here, one swat from a paw would be enough to destroy it

Re: Missing visitor
If he was determined to come in I doubt the door would stop him, never mind the flap

Re: Missing visitor
She's not missing anymore and was so hungry she came in thro' the flap last night looking for food, not a good developement. She'd only got as far as the kitchen before I appeared and she headed straight back out on seeing me but I guess it's now only a matter odf time before she starts coming in regularly, if I don't find a way to stop her that is.
She has come in a couple of times before but that was ages ago when she was a kitten and from her point of view I can see why she came in this time, she's seen the others do it at will without being chased out so is probably expecting the same.
'EDIT'
It seems she didn't come back in last night but has just appeared on the doorstep again. I knew she was there without looking as Bola, Max, Stripey and Dexter were all queuing up wanting to go out but none was brave enough to use the flap while she was there

Re: Missing visitor
I've just seen the husband/boyfriend across the road leaving for work and both cats *seemed* to have left the house with him, so it looks like they both go home sometimes, tho' the pair of them headed straight to my house.
