Kopi Luwak - Civet Coffee
Kopi Luwak sometimes known as civet coffee comes from Indonesia. The Civet, which is a member of the feline family, prowls the forests eating the coffee cherrys. The coffee beans the pass through the animal, where its digestive tract breaks down emzymes. The Kopi Luwak coffee is then collected by the locals, dried and roasted in the normal way. The result is a lush, smooth coffee with low acidity.

Kopi Luwak or Civet Coffee is certainly one of the most unusual coffees available and very exclusive, since only around 500 kilos is collected each year. Civet Coffee is totally sterile and safe, in fact the Indonesians consider it to be the best coffee in the world.
