Fudges new fav sleeping place

I can't remember how long I've had my cat tree, it must be over a year, but she's just discovered the *compartment* at the bottom. Bolas the only one who's ever slept there before......he's got no chance now Before Friday she'd only ever used the tree as a short cut to get on the living room windowsill, but now she's found a place where she can really be alone.

Probably is kicking herself at not finding it sooner She's there atm, purring her head off last time I went into the living room. There's just enough room for her and her dry food bowl, so she's got nearly everything she wants *under one roof* There's a litter tray right *next door* tho' she never uses them, the only thing she has to get up for is a drink of water

aaaww she could hardly move even if she tried, daft kitty, but I bet she feels so secure she won't be in a rush to leave.

There's *just about* enough room for her and the dry food bowl, tho' this pic makes the tree look smaller than it actually is

She's safe there, nobody can see her unless they go looking. I can't understand why she's not found that spot before, tho' she never even looked at the tree when it was next to the fire, but maybe she had seen it and it was too open for her liking.

Could be, make me wonder how long she will stary ther, remember she seemed so contented in the shelf on top of your books etc, then she left that. Cats are so fickle, what's brill today is crappy tomorrow.

She stayed there all night and was still fast asleep when I went down this morning, so it looks like this could be the *spot* for her to sleep/hide

Now all I've got to do is persuade William not to sleep on my chair after I've gone to bed. He's happy enough to sleep on a cushion on the sofa while I'm there (said cushion gets all the cat hairs) but as soon as I'm out of the room for more than a couple of minute/go to bed, he's on my chair

Why do they do that ?? Moto is exactly the same, happy enough on his radiator bed, or on the cushion but the minute I leave my seat the little has to jump on to it.

I don't know Kath, but I've moved William enough times for him to have got the message, it's *my* chair and *his* place is on the sofa or my bed. It drives me up the wall as I don't always remember to brush the hairs off before sitting down

Am sure they do it to annoy us, like I was saying to Steve, they have so many places they can sleep on and we just let them get on with it, but no -no it has to be where we sit, and as you say, *hairs everywhere*.

ROFL! They're funny little things like that... something that's always been there, and suddenly it catches their interest. Pok has redicovered the top compartment at their cat tree, and now sleeps there all the time (when he's here that is).

She's just come upstairs looking for me, found Max and Dexter asleep on my bed and has stormed off in a huff

She looks so snug in there. Cats have so many places to sleep/hide they really are unreliable to stay in one spot for long.
As for the chair, everytime I get up from my computer chair Buddy has to claim it, it's so annoying when he does, as I have to kneel on the floor or sit right on the edge of it to get to my computer, as I don't want to disturb him by moving him.

I'm glad to say she moved back last night

I left her asleep on top of the tree when I went to bed, but she was fast asleep in her *room* when I got up today.

I put an old pillow on my chair for Wiiliam to sleep on overnight/when I'm not around, but he wasn't in last night when I went to bed so didn't put the pillow in place...............needless to say he came in later and slept on my chair..............as long as I remember to brush it before sitting down it won't be so bad. He sleeps like a log on the sofa, so I can't see what's so attractive about my chair, none of the others do it, just him.
