I wish cats had clear tears, Sophie always has crapola in the corner of her eye and it's a horrible brown colour, which is natural but oh it looks yucky. So every day there I am wiping this muck from her eye and there she is sitting letting me. Cats eyes 43453

I'm lucky, I don't get any of that with my lot, which is just as well with Fudge, I wouldn't fancy force cleaning her eyes Laughing

Hi there, I totally know where you are coming from as we have the same problem with our Bonnie. When we found her she was at death's door with cat flu and we managed to nurse her back to full health, but she has a permanently weepy eye, due to scarring from her cat flu, which calls for cleaning several times a day and does give her a certain uncared for look. She wouldn't win a beauty competition, but she is very much loved and cared for and gives loads of love back.

Best wishes and happy eye-wiping

LOL thanks Joanne, poor Bonnie, Bonnie by nature not by name, awww. I don't knoe why Sophie has this problem, she's a hea;lthy cat otherwise and it doesn't bother her, bothers me as it looks yucky. Laughing

Hi Kath. I don't think it is necessarily anything to do with health - some cats just seem to have these dirty tears that harden. Bonnie does have a more specific problem and it means that her eye streams continuously. Her name came about as a sort of premonition. I was just daydreaming about having another cat and it being a female and being called Bonnie. Now at the time we had decided we wouldn't have another cat, and I was sure that if we did it would more likely be a male. That very day, my husband found this little poorly female cat - so Bonnie it was, even though she isn't the prettiest. In our eyes she is gorgeous. Sophie sounds lovely and much loved. Moto sounds like a character. Malo is our grumpy one but we wouldn't be without him either.

Buddy sometimes comes in with gunk in his eyes, especially in the warmer weather but Mary hasn't had any problems with hers.
