New collar/ID barrel for Bola
As he's started playing in the road at night it was time for a new, reflective collar, which was bought earlier. A fully elesticated jobbie, but would it stay fastened? Would it hell as like not without being tight enough to choke him and much scratching at it as a result.
I ended up measuring it out to give enough room/stretch to come off easily, then sewing the end down. Not ideal and he still doesn't like it, no doubt partly due to the louder bell, but probably also because of the new ID barrel. This one is metal and intended for small dogs or puppies and while it's no bigger than the old plastic barrel it weighs that bit more.
If all are still in place in 24 hours they'll be a success..............tho' I'll be amazed tbh I bought another of these barrels for Buddy while I was there, but that'll be kept to one side till I find out if I need it for Bola.

So far so good, it's still there tho' when I said it's a reflective collar it's more fluorescent. It's bright lime green and with him being jet black it looks hideous on tbh, so I can't really blame him for not being a happy cat atm

I have this image of Bola walking along hunched up with his head bent low because of the weight. he'll get used to it, probably lose it first though.
Ah bright green what about his street cred.

It's a lot brighter than that KathTeddy wrote:I have this image of Bola walking along hunched up with his head bent low because of the weight. he'll get used to it, probably lose it first though.

He'd better not lose this one, he kept the previous one for ages and it wasn't just the mid purple colour that made me change it, it was getting beyond tatty I only kept the old one this long as it had a section for writing my phone # on, that and a ID barrel gave double *protection* should anything have happened to him.

He's getting his own back by shedding dandruff all over a new tablecloth, it looks like I've spilled salt all over it I knew he had a touch of 'druff, but not like this

Vosene, Head & Shoulders? this won't do his love life any good at all, very off putting to the ladies.
Joking aside, I wonder if there is a shampoo for that, I presume there is, but tbh I don't fancy bathing him. One unimpressed cat and a few scratches later, you would come off worst.

Bola + more than one drop of water = WW111 so a shampoo is out of the question, unless there's a dry shampoo?

Re: New collar/ID barrel for Bola
hahaha I would think there is, I was going to suggest a supplement to add to his diet, but knowing your lot, it's not to say only Bola would get it.

Re: New collar/ID barrel for Bola
Yeah, a quick google suggests adding oil, fish/olive/etc to his diet, so I'll be giving that a go. It's not as tho' he has fleas or even scratches a lot, he doesn't.

It just doesn't look very appealing, oil of some sort will be good, he must have really dry skin.

Yeah, very dry skin
I've found a downside to his new collar and metal ID barrel, late at night I can't see him inside because he's jet black but the barrel clanking against the collar bell makes it sound like there's a ghost rattling keys when he moves round the house
