Bola standing guard? Empty Bola standing guard?

The black cat from across the road has developed the habit of sleeping on the spare bedroom windowsill here. I don't blame him as none of the others go in there very often, but when he's been in there over the past 2 days, Bola has opted to sleep in there there as well Laughing

Wonder if Bola is just letting the visitor know that he is a visitor and not to get too comforable, Very Happy

I don't think so Kath, Bola is the most cat-friendly cat I've ever seen Very Happy Bola standing guard? 579159 The first thing he does when he meets a stranger is to rush up and say hello, only once have I seen him show genuine aggression towards another cat.

Speaking of standing guard, Buddy is doing it atm stopping the cat from across the road from using the flap. He's soaked to the skin and really wants to come in but daren't risk trying to get past Buddy, tho' even if he did he'd then be facing Max who's sprawled out across the kitchen doorway.

I've never seen the visitor in there before Shocked but here he is fast asleep on the windowsill.........with Bola standing guard very close by on the tumble dryer Laughing

Bolas behaviour is bizarre, I've never known another cat act like this with a stranger confused If they'd grown up together I could understand it, but not this Laughing

I thought this was just coincidence the first time I saw it, but my visitor has just done it again so perhaps not. He jumped down and went back when he spotted the husband/boyfriend arrive at his home.

Back home Embarassed

I'm just glad he's not one of those cats who moves the nets so he can see out of the windows better as he'd then be in full view of his owners, and him being here would take some explaining Laughing

I've told them he sneaks in but doesn't stay long as Max and Buddy chase him out, which is true in as far as it goes Laughing

I don't think they play with him much, if at all, at home, which is a shame as he loves it here. Give him anything he can bat around and he's in cat-heaven Laughing
