Bola standing guard?
The black cat from across the road has developed the habit of sleeping on the spare bedroom windowsill here. I don't blame him as none of the others go in there very often, but when he's been in there over the past 2 days, Bola has opted to sleep in there there as well

Re: Bola standing guard?
Hmmm, there might be something in it after all............
Bolas just come padding into my bedroom so I went to check if my visitor had gone, and he had.

Re: Bola standing guard?
Wonder if Bola is just letting the visitor know that he is a visitor and not to get too comforable,

Re: Bola standing guard?
I don't think so Kath, Bola is the most cat-friendly cat I've ever seen The first thing he does when he meets a stranger is to rush up and say hello, only once have I seen him show genuine aggression towards another cat.

Re: Bola standing guard?
Speaking of standing guard, Buddy is doing it atm stopping the cat from across the road from using the flap. He's soaked to the skin and really wants to come in but daren't risk trying to get past Buddy, tho' even if he did he'd then be facing Max who's sprawled out across the kitchen doorway.

Buddy the Bully is at it again. Instead of bullying he's just being intimidating.

Re: Bola standing guard?
Bola and the cat from across the road were in the spare bedroom since just after lunch till about 15 minutes ago when the vistor went back out, of course Bola is no longer interested in sleeping on the spare bed now

Re: Bola standing guard?
After being in the spare bedroom all afternoon, my visitor on the windowsill and Bola the bed, they've now moved into the junkroom. I've never seen the visitor in there before but here he is fast asleep on the windowsill.........with Bola standing guard very close by on the tumble dryer

Bolas behaviour is bizarre, I've never known another cat act like this with a stranger If they'd grown up together I could understand it, but not this

Re: Bola standing guard?
I thought this was just coincidence the first time I saw it, but my visitor has just done it again so perhaps not. He jumped down and went back when he spotted the husband/boyfriend arrive at his home.

I'm just glad he's not one of those cats who moves the nets so he can see out of the windows better as he'd then be in full view of his owners, and him being here would take some explaining

Re: Bola standing guard?
I've told them he sneaks in but doesn't stay long as Max and Buddy chase him out, which is true in as far as it goes
I don't think they play with him much, if at all, at home, which is a shame as he loves it here. Give him anything he can bat around and he's in cat-heaven

Re: Bola standing guard?
It was the dining room windowsill today, but I'm finding this behaviour both funny and not a little spooky in equal measures

They could be a mirror image, does seem a bit peculiar but we all know cats are weird little creatures, probaly originate from middle earth, go I'll get me coat.
