Bola brought me a gift last night
Hi All,
I almost forgot about this.
I heard him come in about 11.30pm, thought nothing of it as I was thinking about going to bed, stepped into the hall to find a dead bird there. Just where he managed to catch a bird at that time I don't know, but he did, it was still warm when I picked it up.
The little sod was most put out when he couldn't find it where he'd left it, but I'm glad I saw it. The thought of finding a trail of feathers all round the house first thing today, knowing he'd brought a gift home but not knowing where he'd put it wasn't overly appealing.
So much for the extra loud bell on his collar.

Poor little birdie... and well done Bola! lol!
ROFL - yes... I can comepletely understand your relief finding it before going to bed... "follow the trail of feathers" wouldn't have been too much fun in the morning... lol!

Poor wee/little bird???? it wasn't so little. I'm not certain what it was, I didn't look too closely as I bagged and binned it, but bit was certainly fully grown and was big enough to have put up a fight before Bola killed it.
Coincidentally, it was like a scene from Hitchcocks The Birds in my back garden for a few hours this morning, no wonder Bola wasn't so keen on going out, they must have been waiting for him

Ah ha, birdies aren't stupid, they are going to get their own back an Bola the Bird Killer, better watch out. LOL I remember the first time I saw The Birds, bloody hell, I was spooked, especially that scene inside the house and the mans eyes were pecked out.
