When I got up today

Bola was asleep on my bed

William was asleep on the spare bed

Fudge was asleep on the windowsill in the spare bedroom

Jimmy was aslep on the windowsill in the 'junk room' upstairs

Ginger Tom was asleep on 'his' chair in the dining room

Dexter was asleep on the sofa

Thank God they were all happy with just having bed, I can't afford to run a cat B&B

I've started to get yet another visitor............another black tom.

I've seen him in the garden a few times, but in the past couple of days he's started to sneak in the house. Bola took offence at him yesterday and chased him off, but he only went as far as the garden at the bottom of mine, there he stopped and spent some time just peeping at me thro' a gap in the fence. I guess he can't understand why all the other cats don't run when I'm around

I don't know for sure, but as he's a full tom and I've seen him spraying on the fence, I think he could be the culprit who's spraying in the kitchen when he calls He only looks a young cat, but I haven't a clue where he's from.

It isn't the first time he's 'hid' and watched me with the other cats, and I get the feeling he'd like to come closer when I call him, but he's just too nervous atm. Mind you, it's the food he wants, not me.

As for paw prints, assuming he's the one that sprays in the kitchen, he leaves paw prints in the pee

The strange black tom called again yesterday, he was in the kitchen but ran when I went in to see *who* was there. He did the usual thing, he hid behind the fence again and was peeping at me thro' the gap, but this time Bola took offence at his being there and chased after him.

They vanished and I thought that was it, but no, a few minutes later I heard a cat miaowing at the side of my house, went to look, and there was the strange black tom. Bola must have chased him round to the front of the row of houses, and he'd returned. He *almost* came to me when I called him, I think he wanted to, but was just too nervous, and this wasn't helped by Bola making it obvious he didn't want this cat near him.

Judging by the noise he was making, I'm pretty sure he's the same cat who makes all the noise wanting to be let in a few doors down from me, and I'm just as sure he belongs to the same multi cat house as William.

As he seems very curious, and has a liking for you (even though he's still not brae enough to come over to say hello), I'm sure it won't be long before he comes and greets you properly.

You should see him, he has a pair of big green eyes, he couldn't stand out more if he tried

I dare say he'll approach me at some point, as you say, he does seem curious, but if Bola is around I can't see that happening soon.
