Sophie has a sore bit.

Right under her chin. We first noticed it about a couple of weeks ago , it was tiny and hard and I thought it was a scab, but lately she has been scratching it a lot. This morning (very early) she just would not leave it alone and I had a look and there is a tiny dark bit but nothing much to see. But I think a visit to the vet is in order, if she keeps scratching she could set up an infection.

Poor little thing... whether it's a little cut or something else it seems to be bothering her... hope it's not some sort of rash... but rather a little wound... as if it's a rash then the question becomes "what made it".

I seem to remember you had some problems with her and her collar...? I know this is right under her chin, but do you think she could have done it whilst trying to take the collar off?


Tiny hard dark bit... "shudder" makes me think of all the ticks our kitties used to get when I lived at my parents... atleast once a week was "picking ticks of the kitties" night! ROFL!

I haven't put her collar on since that time, but it could all be one and the same thing, it didn't have to be her collar that caused the scab the last time, just hope it's not due to ticks, yeah gads. LOL

Poor Sophie. Not nice for her at all. Oh yes, it does sound like a vet trip may be in order as its bothering her. What ever it is I hope it gets sorted soon. Poor lamb.

PMSL, she has slight Feline Acne, very slight, so Helen, we're not the only two with crabby skin. I've just to keep it clean and if it gets worse she will get antibiotics. That's what's on her neck as well, so now I know.

Oh the poor lamb! Has she been pigging out too? lol

I was going to reply to this thread, and suggest that it could be acne, as Princey Boy had it last year! , but I see you know that anyhoo!

I thought of you as soon as the vet said acne, well not you personally as I know you don't have acne, that's me and Helens department, LOL So did it clear up or did he need antibiotics, she was scratching like a feel thing this morning and she's stopped sleeping with me, maybe it's because of the heat.

It cleared up itself eventually. It wasnt too bad, but if it had got worse or not cleared up we were going to go the antibiotic route!
Touch wood, it hasnt reappered this year - awww, my boy is growing up!
BTW - I too suffer with shite skin - not acne as such, but nae bonny at the moment!
