Tootie's off to the vets tomorrow!
Well tomorrow Tootie's got to take a trip to the vets! My dog's going aswell for her booster injections and Tootie's got to go because he's got a sore patch behind his ear. Now it started off as just a small scab which I assume was from a scratch, but it has got worse and I think looks infected. He's got a bald patch which looks sore, scabby and a bit shiny. Poor little man!
Have any of you ever had any problems like this?
I'll have to let you know how he goes on tomorrow.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Oh poor soul, I can't help at all Heather, but the vet will probably give antibiotics or even a cream which will help. Am sure he'll be fine.

Re: Tootie's off to the vets tomorrow!
Hi Heather,
Both ears on one of my regular visitors, William, are in a state, and they have been for all the years I've known him. Both are almost bald and constantly covered in small sores/scabs, I guess from fighting, but don't seem to bother him, tho' obviously he isn't keen on them being touched much.
He isn't my cat, and while I'm happy to feed him and let him sleep when he calls, I don't want to get involved to the point where I end up paying vet bills for someone else's cat. I'm pretty sure I know where his real home is, so if anything happens that really needs a vets attention, I'd call there first.
Good luck at the vets tomorrow.
Ian

Aww Poor Tootie. Am sure a visit to the vet and some cream/antibiotics will sort the handsome fella out. Good luck. How is he about going in his cat carrier?

He's not too bad with the carrier but he's quite a shy boy so he doesn't much like going to the vets!
Sylvester though, my big black and white boy is quite content at the vets and has been known to lie down and start taking a nap on the table!
Well thanks guys for your kind words. I'll let you know how he goes on tomorrow!

Re: Tootie's off to the vets tomorrow!
Hope Tootie gets on alright at the vets tomorrow.
Moli sometimes stratches in front of her ear and makes it a bit sore if she gets earmites, we have to treat her quickly with eardrops and stronghold to prevent her making it worse. Lots of reasons though probably for them scratching somewhere, let us know how he gets on.
Lol i just read what you'd written about Sylvester in the vets, bless him!!

Hee hee! Sly sounds a bit like our Princey - he flakes out and purrs so loudly, the vet says "oooh listen, he's singing"! Nuts, they are, nuts I tell ya!

Re: Tootie's off to the vets tomorrow!
Best of luck to Tootsie at the vets tomorrow!!!
Pok actually had a similar problem... but on his leg. He had a wound... and the wouldn't leave the blooming thing alone. He kept licking at it... so what was a small wound turned into a huge big bald patch that was all pink and shiny! The vet told me not to worry about it unless it got infected... and after a while Pok got fed up cleaning it, and in no-time at all (as soon as he stopped) it was all healed and furry again.

Aww poor Tootie, hope he gets sorted out, and that he feels much better after his visit to the vet.

lol! I just noticed I added an s in Tooties name... I'm sorry! Got yummy snacks on my mind (banana cake) and must have been confused with tootsie rolls... lol!
Give the little beauty a snuggle from me, and I hope I'm forgiven!
