I was out at midnight looking for Max when Bola decided to help which he did by jumping onto a front gatepost so he could look as well, seconds later he'd jumped down and had bolted down the middle of the road till he was out of sight. I'd never seen him do this before but left him to it and went to bed even tho' at that time of night there are still plenty of cars knocking about.

1.30am came and I was woken by a phone call, it didn't ring long, but my first thought was he'd been hit as he hadn't come into my bedroom at night as he'd been doing for weeks now, the driver had checked for ID, got my # and rang to let me know.

Straight out of bed to get dressed and nip out to see if I could find him nearby when on my way downstairs I spotted a black tail sticking out from behind the junk room curtains. I knew Dexter was in and expected it to be him but there was major relief to find it was Bola sat there Very Happy Panic at silly o'clock 579159

I'm guessing it was a wrong number and they hung up as soon as they realised.

Yeah, I know what you mean, phone calls at that time of night can mean bad news about family members, but I'm not close enough to any relative to get one now. The truth is, tho' I haven't actually said it but I suspect they know, if it came down to a choice of saving one of my cats or a relative, the cat would win without a second thought from me.
