Re: A stranger *goes home*
And still no sign of him, he must either be back home or the worst has happened as he was so at home here I just can't see him going into yet another house.
'EDIT'
A bit late, but I've just had a tour round my estate to see if he was lying at the side of the road anywhere, he wasn't but that's not to say he was and has been collected. I took the chance while out to take down all the Cat Found posters I'd put up, tho' I needn't have bothered as only 1 of the 15 was still up ( kids no doubt )
'EDIT 2'
He's just turned up, soaked to the skin and wanting brekkie, I don't know what to make of this at all If he hasn't been home I suppose he could have been trapped somewhere nearby or still being a full tom, had a good wander.

Re: A stranger *goes home*
He didn't stay long first thing this morning and left half his food, but kept popping back in for a few minutes before leaving again, almost as tho' he was unsure about my house/cats. He certainly wasn't like this the first time he appeared, anyhow, he bolted when I got the hoover out but came back in within minutes of my finishing and has been curled up asleep on my bed ever since.
Thinking about it, him disappearing for 2 days coincided with the young cat from across the road not being seen on my doorstep, who judging by all the attention she's been getting is in season again. Even tho' he's shown no interest in her that I've seen, it's possible he's been camped out over the road with Stripey and the rest waiting for her to be let out again.

Re: A stranger *goes home*
This could well be a *sign*
I've got a new carrier, big enough for a cat to do cartwheels in, both Bola and Max have tried it out (reluctantly tbh) and seemed happy enough with the door closed. I deliberately didn't show it to Bosley after the fuss he made over the old carrier, but put a old jumper of mine he'd slept on into it, and just popped it onto the dining table till I found a regular space for it.
Lo and behold, he spent a good 12 hours yesterday curled up asleep right next to it. I opened the door before going to bed last night in the hope I'd find him inside this morning, sadly no, tho' he was still next to it, but at least he's not scared of this one.

Re: A stranger *goes home*
I thought for a second he'd been neutered yesterday, which might have explained his absence for 2 days last week, but later on it seemed not. After a very rough playfight with my hand and arm he appeared to be still *all there*, but again today, it seems like he's been done. I'm going to have to risk a serious clawing soon to find out one way or the other.

Re: A stranger *goes home*
hahahaha well I suppose it would depend on how cold he is.
I have read that if you keep the carrier out all the time the cats get used to it and then don't panic when you do need to use it.

Re: A stranger *goes home*
I hoped he'd wander into the carrier, especially with the old jumper he was used to sleeping on being in there, but all he's done so far is sleep next to it.
I'm still puzzled about the seeming difference in size between his nostrils, one looks far bigger than the other, but getting a proper look is near impossible, even when he's biting my nose to lert me know it's time to get up

Re: A stranger *goes home*
You can see it, tho' not that clearly, on the last pic of him I posted. I thought, and it may well be, just colouring, but until I get a proper look I can't be sure.

It almost certainly is just colouring, I just wish he'd sit still long enough for me to check.

Re: A stranger *goes home*
Not impressed as I caught him red handed having a pee under the stairs this morning I knew one cat had at least been spraying there, tho' I'd been blaming Dexter as I once caught him spraying against the hoover, but it seems he's probably innocent and has been chased out for nothing

Certainly looks like it, maybe when he's asleep you'll be able to get a closer look.

Re: A stranger *goes home*
He's definitely been neutered, so it was probably just swelling I could see before, and that said, I'll bet his owner isn't best pleased at him going missing again and would explain my not seeing him for 48 hours a few days back.
I can't say as I've ever examined any of my toms post op, but this looks to be a ham fisted job to my eyes, tho' may well be perfectly ok and it certainly hasn't bothered him. I thought, but couldn't be sure, that I spotted a bit of blood in that area on Monday, it looks like I did. I would have thought it too soon to calm him down, but there's no doubt he's been in the house sleeping far more this week.

Re: A stranger *goes home*
It will take a few weeks for the hormones to die down and then you should see a bit of a difference, although TBH Moto didn't really change that much, it was time as in age that changed him.

Re: A stranger *goes home*
I can't say as I noticed much change in Beckett or Bola either, there's certainly been more in Bosley after only a few days. I'll have to check to see if I can feel a chip as they may well have had it done while he was under the anaesthetic.
The bit of blood I thought I saw could easily have been a result of his op and then he and Bola kicking hell out of each other when playfighting. They're only playing, but anybody not realising this would swear they're trying to kill each other

gee you would think after that op Bosley would be taking it easy, not knocking hell out of his rival. Must be the human male that makes a meal of it.

Re: A stranger *goes home*
He had Bola trapped against a wardrobe in the spare bedroom yesterday afternoon, his cries for help were pitiful, but I didn't step in as he'd started it and was getting all he deserved

He's not the only one, I thought Bola could be rough playfighting with my hand but he's nothing compared to Bosley Once his claws are in you that's it, he refuses to let goTeddy wrote:Aye met his match there.

Some valerian catnip toys arrived today and went down well with Bosley, I doubt he'd seen anything quite like them before, and one things for certain, he let me know to back off when I tried to take it off him

He's fearless, that's for sure. I'd just got downstairs last night with Stripey right behind me when Bosley flew out of a dark dining room after him like a cartoon devil cat. It scared the bejazus out of the pair of us
