Buddy sick
When I got up this morning Buddy was in his box and didn't look right, he even refused his breakfast. He went to sleep in my son's room only for my son to call out "I think Buddy's dying, he's got his tongue hanging out and having a fit". I ran into find Buds being sick on the carpet so I put him back into his box and he went to sleep. He's just been sick again, but only bringing up liquid. He did manage to bat a ball back to me when I rolled it towards him so maybe he's just eaten something he shouldn't have. I did check him for wounds but as I said in an earlier post that you can't always see there injuries.
I am going to see how he goes and if he is sick again I will phone the vet for advice/visit.
*edit* He's just been sick again so trying to get an appointment at the vet's. Hope it's nothing to serious.

Re: Buddy sick
Hi Lynn,
How did he get on at the vets?
When Ginger Tom and Wiliam are sick (too often for comfort with GT) it's almost always just liquid, with a bit of fur with GT, and sounds far worse than it makes them feel as both are usually hungry seconds later.
Here's hoping it's just something Buddy has eaten.

Re: Buddy sick
Ended up taking him to the vet's after all. The vet was the nice australian guy, he took Buddy's temperture and had a feel of his tummy and found that he has a kidney infection, which was making him sick, which has bought on septicemia (sp)also. I did tell the vet that there was something under Buds chin, he had a closer look and found a bite wound and two more near his right ear, he's been fighting again. He gave Buds two injectuions, at this point Buds growled and hissed at the vet. One injection was antibiotic and the other was for the pain and septicemia. He has tablets also to take twice a day. He should make a full recovery. He has eaten a big bowl of food and is now settled for the night.
Re: Buddy sick
Good job you took him Lyn, the antibiotic injections sting, so no much wonder he hissed. Lots of TLC, but will they never learn, forever fighting. LOL

Glad to hear Buddy hasn't anything seriously wrong, but yeah, it'll only be a matter of time before he's off fighting again.

Re: Buddy sick
Thanks girls, he is feeling and looking much better, and to prove how well he is Mary and him decided that it would be fun to play on our bed last night, while we were in it, and they were jumping all over us. We were in stitches watching them paw and chase and hide from each other as this is the first time they have played like this together for ages.
