Ooops..........sorry cats..........

..........it was an accident..........but I'm so not going to be popular when they find out later.

I mowed the lawn earlier, and as usual the lead managed to get caught in a bush (I've no idea what sort but the cats loved it) and as I lost my temper and snatched the lead, it came free, but so did most of said bush

It's been three parts dead for years tbh, barely clinging to life, but the bit that flowered drew all cats to it like a magnet, tho' not anymore. The only bit that's left now is part of a long dead stump, so there's nothing for them to rub against.

Cue a lot of sulking cats when they notice it's gone

Haha! Oh they will! When we got rid of the giant laurel bush in the front, Mads went and sat in the left over dirt for days, sulking that her shelter had gone! LOL

ROFL oh cruel cruel. You'll just have to palnt a quick growing leilandii, hahahhahahaha oh that would be funny, this year 2 feet high, cats swarming to it and giving it a good old spray, next year 10 foot high and you having to get the fire brigade to rescue said cat/s.

Even for someone who cares as little as I do about what their garden looks like (beyond the basic mowing) I had to admit this bush was an eyesore. I've been wanting to get rid of it for ages, and it's only because cats loved rubbing up against it that stopped me. Looking at pics online, it would seem it *might* have been a catmint bush at one point, tho' it always seemed too *woody* to be one for me.

They'll all be even more upset when they notice I've given three other bushes a severe trim today while I was in the mood. Before that, 3 or 4 cats could happily shelter under each one, now there's hardly room for a kitten

I don't have any bushes/trees in my garden but the lady who is selling her house has loads in her garden, so I guess that's where my two will be right now.
