I found Fudge............

.........lay on her back on the stairs playing with a 18inch long piece of plastic strimmer wire earlier

This wire is Bola and Dexters fav toy, they'll spend ages haring round the house with it, but to see Fudge playing by herself with anything was staggering as it's the very first time I've seen her do it in all the years she's been here with me.

She'll join in a game of catch-the-string at night, but even then it's only a token pounce as I drag it past her, so to see her lay there biting and kicking like a kitten was a real eye opener

That's just it, she'd never done it before, that I'd seen anyway. She's been here since adopting me from next door some 13+ years ago, and she wasn't old then, but in all that time she's never played as other cats do, so to see her today was a real surprise, tho' a pleasant one
