I've just found a...........

...........dead bird in the garden.
Nothing unusual about that you might think, but when I say it was hidden in a clump of long grass near my cherry tree..............and I *found* it while mowing said clump of long grass............I heard a thump and the next thing I was surrounded by feathers floating back down to earth
No doubt the one who caught it will have been cheesed off at my wrecking their larder, and all the others will have been laughing their heads off, but I didn't find it funny..................not least having to clean the mower after I'd finished

I don't know for sure, but I strongly suspect it was Max who put it there, and he did so deliberately knowing full well I'd *find* it when mowing, as revenge for my picking up any cherries on the ground and throwing them at him They all hate my doing that, but he hates it the most.
