Sense of smell

I know cats have a keen one, but Buddy amazed me earlier today.

We were both in the living room fast asleep (I'd left the gas fire on full and it was extra toasty warm) I was on the sofa and Buddy on the recliner, sleeping the sleep of the dead. I woke up and not long after the black cat from across the road strolled in and sat near the recliner.

Buddy's nose started twitching within seconds and before he'd fully opened his eyes he was there growling and spitting at him I thought he'd be safe as from where Buddy was lay, there was no way he could have seen this cat even wide awake. His sense of smell must be extra good

hahahaha he should be used as a narcotics dog.

The only good thing about both Buddy and Max disliking this cat do much is that it will at least deter him from trying to adopt me. I wish he'd stand up for himself and not rely on me coming to the rescue tho'.
