Talking in their sleep? Empty Talking in their sleep?

Post by Gilly Sun Oct 10, 2010 12:03 am

Does anybody else have a cat that chatters away and meows and squeaks in their sleep? confused

You know how dogs will dream and their limbs will twitch and they'll often whimper as though they are chasing something etc......do cats do that too? Laughing Just wondered because our wee tortie lodger does it all the time Talking in their sleep? 43453 Some of the noises she'll make are quite loud and had us a bit shocked at first yesterday as we thought she was having a fit or something!!! Shocked

I think it's just her as no other cat I have ever known has done this. Laughing

Hi Gilly,

All mine do it at times, especially Fudge, tho' none as loud as your lodger.

Bonnie does it too, although the whimper isn't as loud as I have known other cats do it - probably because it is mixed up with and drowned out by very loud snoring Talking in their sleep? 43453 She doesn't half kick though Rolling Eyes

All my cats have done it, past & present, I have often gently woken them when it sounded alarming, like hissing or distressed meowing! Don't like the thought of them having a nightmare! How daft am I! Embarassed So I wouldn't worry it seems quite normal.
