Update on Domino

Our gorgeous girl has been with us for 11 weeks this coming Friday *20th* and she's now 100% different from the neglected scrap of shaven skin & bone which she was when she first came home to us. For starters she is SO much more lively now and even used to beat Suzi up Suzi was forever growling at her once Domino started to pick up and become more lively and one day, after Suzi had swiped Domino's bum in passing, Domino smacked Suzi one back After that it was just open warfare with no blood, just grumbles and hissing and spitting from Suzi Domino only ever reacted if Suzi went to swipe at her and THEN she was always the winner despite being half Suzi's size and nearly twice her age
Domino was around 3lb 2oz when she came to us but is now 5lb 4oz She looks like a slim cat now instead of a starved one. Her fur has really started to grow back and her gummed up nose & eyes are 100% better now She still has to go back to the vet once a month for a check up (next one is Tuesday 24th) but the vets are just thrilled to bits with her I even took her to see Linda after the last appointment three weeks ago and she couldn't believe the change in her

oh she's coming on, still a bedraggled bit of fluff but soooo much improved. Another month or so and she will be totally unrecognisable.

Aye that tail is something else, never seen one like it.

Her tail IS something else At times it looks like a stringy bit of tinsel Yet other times Domino will actually wrap it round herself - we call her Secret Squirrel when she does this as she remins us so much of a wee squirrel Yet when she was getting annoyed at Suzi it would lash from side to side And sometimes, when she's relaxing in front of the heater, it will lazily flop up and down.

Oh yes, Domino's tail certainly has a life of it's own

*sigh* it's a hard life being a cat....

What a little raggamuffin. Their fur takes so long to grow back in, I noticed that when Sophie got spayed, I thought she would always have a bald bit.
