I found him asleep next to a hedgie late last night under my fir tree (yeah, I know, risk of fleas, but I don't think the hedgie was bothered about catching them Laughing )

Not the best pic as it was nearly 10pm so I was taking it *blind* and I've had to emhance it a bit as I didn't use the right night time setting. Pity the hedgie had moved a bit as well.

How lovely! Bola doesn't seem to be taking any notice whatsoever - Bonnie would be in a terrible panic, and Malo would be soooo curious although probably wouldn't pick a fight - simply because it isn't another cat.

Hi Joanne,

He/she has been a regular night time visitor for the best part of two weeks now and not one of my lot has so much as even sniffed at it. If there's any food left over from the cats supper I put it out for the hedgie, but it usually runs when I get anywhere near. It's always gone when I check later, but I suspect Bola has eaten it Rolling Eyes

Hi Ian

We always had a family of hedgehogs, and put out some cat food for them, and we could watch them eating from a safe distance, but for the last few years - since before we had either Bonnie or Malo - there has been no sign of them. Our garden is still very much unkempt with wildlife havens throughout (not purposefully - just that we haven't got around to doing the outside yet) so their habitat hasn't changed. No idea why they have moved on.

I only ever see solitary hedgies, presumably it's the same one each time.

Good pic Ian, only just seen this, love the way they're both sitting exactly the same.

Thanks Kath,

A second or two earlier would have been better as they were a lot closer together.

I love cats. Everyone needs friend. It is such a cute friend's of Bola. I think Bola does not noticed it. Once Bola noticed than they become a good friend.
